A Meeting Point of Maximum Interest
The Basque Federation of Fish Commercialising Companies, FECOPE, includes the wholesale fish commercialising associations of the ports of Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa.
Since it was established in 1996, FECOPE defends, promotes and maintains local associations by acting as a connection and a body of encounter and cooperation.
A Country which has always looked to the Sea
The Autonomous Community of the Basque Country is composed of the historic territories of Álava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. As a whole they represent the most important mercantile, social and cultural centre on the Cantabrian Coast.
From its privileged position, open to the sea, on the shores of the Bay of Biscay, it has become a centre of industrial, fishing and commercial activity of the first order as can be seen throughout its extensive history.
